Fan Encounter with Booboo Stewart in Chicago, IL

My name is Madi Peretin and I am 13 years old. I had the opportunity to go to the Twilight Breaking Dawn Convention in Chicago on March 24, 2012, and it was the best day of my life! I had never met a celebrity before so I was super nervous and excited. When my friend Sam (short for Samantha!) and I walked into the room and saw Booboo we couldn’t believe we were actually there – we froze! We were killing time in the room before we met him because that’s how scared we were…..then when we got up there we were the first ones in line, behind Sage of course! Booboo said “Hi” to us and gave us hugs. We met his Mom, Renee (she’s really nice), and even took a picture with her. She was like, “Are you guys nervous?” and we just said no, but you could tell we were! Booboo was super nice though and he put us at ease. He signed our photos and even signed our shirts. I was like, Oh my gosh, I just met Booboo Stewart! Later we went to have our photo op with him and everyone was in line. I remembered what I saw on the convention website that you could do creative poses in your pictures. So when we were in the room everyone else was just doing generic poses and I thought to myself, No, I am going to do a POSE! Then when it came to be my turn I smiled and casually walked up there, Booboo said “Hi” to me and that he remembered me. I put my hand around him and then all of a sudden I put my other hand around him and hugged him! When I did that the whole room gasped and started laughing….I don’t think they thought I was brave enough to do that! At first I was worried that I did something wrong….he probably thought I was harassing him, but he hugged me back and smiled so I knew that was a good sign. After the photo op we left the room and people were coming up to me saying, “Hey, Booboo girl!” At least I made an impression!When I say that was truly one of the best days of my life, I mean it. In 2009 I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and have had many “lows”, but this was definitely one of my “highs”. I had such an epic time and I loved meeting Booboo Stewart and I will never forget it. Thank you Booboo!
