Twilightish Exclusive Interview With Booboo Stewart

Twilightish had a chance to grab Booboo Stewart recently at the Dallas Twilight Convention for a quick interview. I (CP) found that he may not take instructions well (answer in 2 words- haha!), but Booboo was kind, funny, and a joy to talk to! Twilightish: These first few questions are quick. Answer in two words.
Booboo: Two words, I can answer in two words? [smiles]
Booboo: Two words, I can answer in two words? [smiles]
Twilightish: Yes. (Booboo nods and smiles)
Twilightish: Who’s your Twilight crush?
Booboo: [Thinks] Too young , because everyone’s too old [laughs]
Twilightish: That was probably a good answer…What is the one thing you can’t leave the house without?
Booboo: My phone
Twilightish: When is the last time you got a hug?
Booboo: 30 seconds ago [laughs]
Twilightish: Where will you be on Monday?
Booboo: [Turns to his dad and laughs] Where WILL we be on Monday? [Booboo’s dad replies “Probably in Pennsylvania”] In Pennsylvania somewhere.
Booboo: That’s a great movie. [laughs]
Twilightish: How long has it been since your last home cooked meal?
Booboo: Almost a month.
Twilightish: I understand. My son is on the Autism Spectrum. It’s the same. People go up to him and they wouldn’t know, but if you start talking to him…

Twilightish: How did you feel portraying someone with Aspergergs [in White Frog] and how did you prepare? Did you talk to anyone? You can take your time answering this one.
Booboo: Yes, the preparation … Well, first of all, How did I feel about it? It felt really, just like, it was such a good feeling just being able to portray a character like that. And to learn so much, it really makes you appreciate just life. And how I prepared for it, I really researched on youtube. Tons of research on youtube. Youtube videos- a lot of people with Aspergers, they make video blogs so I really got to just learn about all these different characters and all these different personalities. I really found out that people with Aspergers, it’s like really severe or really mild. One person can have both. And you can never pick them out in a crowd. Like, unless you really have a one on one conversation with someone with Aspergers, you just…
Twilightish: You don’t know there's a “handicap” .
Booboo: Yeah. No, you don’t know. You think maybe just a little quiet, but you would never know. I think that was the hardest thing about someone with Aspergers. To not do too much. So, it was definitely a good experience.

Twilightish: Exactly. He wants to start a video blog on youtube about elevators. That’s his obsession.
Booboo: [grins] Elevators, he loves elevators?

Booboo: Sounds good. I’m afraid of elevators so hopefully he can turn that around for me. [smiles]
